The Trade-A-Thon is hosted on an e-commerce website (and app).  Both the app and the website will be pre-loaded with all the gift certificates and products offered by the business participants.  Simply put, you will scroll through the platform and online shop for the items of your choice using your Trade-A-Thon credit!

No cash needed! 

All Gift Certificates are created through the platform electronically, so you will receive your purchases immediately via email. 

Anything and everything!  The Trade-A-Thon has participants from all over the Okanagan Valley operating all different types of businesses.   You will find gift certificates and products from wineries, spas, hair salons, clothing stores, restaurants, HVAC services, flooring, vehicle maintenance, vehicle detailing, carpet cleaning, paddle boards, kitchen products, boat rentals, children stores.... the list goes on!

 *A minimum offer of $250 in gift certificate credit is needed to participate. 

Example:

$250 = 5 gift certificates x $50 each or 10 gift certificates x $25 each

$500 = 10 gift certificates x $50 each or 20 gift certificates x $25 each

$1000 = 20 gift certificates x $50 each or 5 x $100 each

You decide!

You can control whether you would like to offer a GENERAL gift certificate that can be used towards any of your products or services.  OR offer a gift certificate that can be used towards something SPECIFIC. We just ask that the value can be used towards purchasing at least one full service/product from your business.

We will send you an email letting you know we have received your submission.  From there we will stay in touch leading up with any information needed ie. logos, business info etc.  

The day before Trade-A-Thon;

1. We will create you an account on the Trade-A-Thon platform
2. You will receive emails with set-up information
3. We will pre-purchase your contribution value & set up the Gift Certificates you have offered.
4. You will then see your contribution amount in your account to spend on December 5th, 2024.

If your Gift Certificates all do not sell on Trade-A-Thon day, we will keep them live on the website for purchase throughout the year, or at next years Trade-A-Thon.  No matter what, you will have your initial contribution to use as credit to shop.

If you don’t spend your total contribution credit (ex. $500), your account will remain open to shop until all the credit has been used.

On the day of the event (Thursday, December 5th at 5:00pm) the online platform will go LIVE with all of the gift certificates and products.  Most items will have limited quantities, so if there's something you have your eye on, be sure to be ready to shop at 5:00pm!

Nope! This is an online gift certificate platform, so you will receive your purchases immediately via email. 

If you would like to gift an certificate to someone, you can do this at check-out, and they will receive an email with your special surprise!

We are only able to sell the quantity submitted by each business. 

However, if there is something you have your heart set on that sold out, we are happy to reach out to the issuing business to request a top up!

Some gift certificates may have an expiry stated. If not, it is valid until you have used it.
